The Alliance Awards, sponsored by Logistics Management and SMC³ were presented during the first day of SMC³’s Jump Start 2016 conference.The Alliance Awards is an annual celebration of supply chain collaboration and innovation at the highest level. The Alliance Awards recognize how shippers and their service providers work together to overcome challenges to critical components of their unique supply chains. Winners are singled out for their ability to effectively solve challenges through innovative, measurable means. Qualified entries comprised a collaborative effort of three or more partners, with at least one of those members being a shipper.
A panel of supply chain experts judged the entrants on how their collaboration has worked to produce meaningful outcomes, achieve results and enhance the supply chain, among other metrics. The winning cases studies will be featured in Logistics Management over the course of 2016. Past award winners include DHL Global Mail, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Macy’s and Comtrak.
